It is quite compelling how God uses the body of Christ to build each other up and to keep us connected. The reason it is interesting is because, sometimes he will use someone else to impact our lives or to remind us of how we need to draw close to Him, or when we need to rely on him more, when we are in a times of waiting. Also it is enthralling how He will use one verse to remind more than one person in the Body of Christ that need to let go of the things we should not remember and let go of the things we cannot control as well. Most importantly, it is unique how God works in our lives during waiting periods, in how he changes our hearts. Or how He changes our perspective on things through different people speaking into our lives, significantly through scripture, by showing us how to anticipate what is coming in waiting periods. The point is, God can use just one verse to impact different people at different times. In reality the truth never fails. For example there is a verse in Isaiah that I have been meditating on for a while now, but have not really shared how God touched my heart with it. The verse is, “Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”(Isaiah 43:18-19ESV). However, I have read these two verse throughout this week at different times in personal study, and have heard it from several different people and how it impacted them. So now the reason it has impacted me is, that God is calling me out to not recall or remember my insecurities or failures, but to focus on his steadfast love instead. And He is calling me out to remember that, He has made me complete in his love, and that he has delivered me from my insecurities. Most of all he is calling me out to, not dwell on the past, but on the now and the new things he is doing now. Also, He is calling me out to anticipate what is coming in this waiting period, and to anticipate the good things he is doing within my own life, or what he is going to do. Moreover, this verse also displays how God delivers his people, and how he will make a way. For instance he is calling me to still focus on Him in this waiting period in my life. This might sound dramatic, but their have been many times when God has asked me to wait on Him for things to happen or take place. And every single time I was obedient to him those times have been the most rewarding times in my life. Although this season of waiting seems to be a bit longer then I thought it would be, or even expected, but I know in the end it will be the right thing. Even though things have not turned out the way I expected them too, God has worked them out for my good and has even brought greater things, and amazing people back into my life which I am extremely grateful for. Therefore, my insecurities have no hold on me, because his love has freed me from the fear of not being good enough, or the fear of loneliness, and has replaced it with his everlasting grace. So if you have ever been held by the grip of fears, failures, mistakes, insecurities, then do not worry there is hope in the love of Jesus. His love can set you free from not only sin, but also fears as well. Thus, if you need a reminder that there is hope, and are struggling to see through the circumstances of right now, or are struggling because the past keeps crawling back into your mind. Then let God draw your attention to what is anticipating ahead, or to rest and expect what is to come, what is in the now. Moreover, if you need a reminder that God fulfills his promises and answer those who call on and who wait upon him, then look no further to a verse in Psalms it says, “But for you, O LORD do I wait, it is you, O Lord my God, who will answer.”(Psalm 38:15ESV). In the end God listens to us and he will answer even if it is not our timing, but his reigns complete goodness. So if your in a waiting period, then have no fear, God hears your prayers and remember this is only a season of waiting. It will come to an end and something better is coming soon, and keep your hope in Gods word because it is truth.
