Be Still And Wait

Have you ever felt like you are waiting for something to come into your life?

Where you are just sitting in this waiting room allowing time to tick by wanting to do something but not sure what it is?

We have all been there whether we want to admit it or not. This is where we need to be still and ask the Lord for direction. And pray for wisdom before we step outside of what God wants for us.

There are times where we will even feel like we are behind in life, yet God wants us to see we are right where we need to be. But, we need to realize the Lord places in the exact position we must be in. It is better to wait on the Lord than try to take things into our own hands to make it happen.

What we need to get down in the marrow of our bones is that God will not leave us to figure life out on our own. Follow the voice of the Lord and know Him. The Lord leads us in the right direction to show us how to walk out our callings.

Watch and see the great things the Lord is doing in and through you as you are being still while waiting. He will teach us we do not have to be everything to everyone. It is okay to just be who God created you to be.

This might an awakening to someone who needs to step into being still to stop taking on everyone else’s load. We do not have to be everyone’s savior, because we already have Jesus.

It is a revelation of knowing we do not have to swoop in and save people from what we do not think they can handle. I know it was a great relief to me when God began to open my eyes to this revelation.

Where I realized I needed to walk in the calling and authority God has given me, not what everyone else thinks it is. You do not have to worry because God knows what you can carry and what you cannot.

Even while you wait for God to open doors, you can be still and wait. You can walk in your authority and calling with confidence.

Now therefore stand still and see this great thing that the LORD will do before your eyes.”

1 Samuel 12:16 ESV

I want to see the great thing the Lord wants to do before our eyes. Soaking in His presence while being still and waiting. There is something astounding about being able to see the great things of the Lord. I do not think there are not enough words to describe all of it.

The wonder of the Lord takes my breath away, where I cannot fully fathom what He is doing as I am being still. But I do know it is worth the wait. God never disappoints because He always shows up. He deserves all the glory on heaven and earth.

“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth!” The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.

Psalm 46:10-11 ESV

I love this verse and it displays God’s sovereignty. He will be exalted and everyone will know He is God.
