Review: The Struggle is Real by Keagan Hayden

Book review- "The Struggle is Real Purpose in the pain" by Keagan Hayden

This book is jaw dropping good. It will challenge your faith to dig deeper with God. It will reveal how much you really need God in every moment. Let us all be honest here, no one ever really likes going through struggles or trials throughout life. We all want things to be honky dory without pain or frustration. No one likes the sifting or refining process God does with us to make us grow in trials we go through. This is not my favorite process to go through. Sometimes it is just plain frustrating to go through trials and suffering. My biggest struggles and journey in this life is the trials in waiting for God's best.

However, in reading the struggle is real. I have learned there is triumph in the journey and struggles. It may not always be simple or easy but the process of learning to struggle well is rewarding. It is worthwhile in the end. I have also learned in reading this book, how I am not alone because God is with me every single step of the way.

Suffering through trials is not fun or always easy. Yet, when we come out on the other side of those trials more refined and purified we become firmer in our faith. We become more grounded in who we are in Jesus Christ, where nothing can shake us from what we believe. We find triumph after or in the struggles we go through. Especially since, we have Christ's strength in us. However, the wonderful thing is we do not go through these trials alone. We have Christ with us the whole time, so we do not lose faith or hope in what is to come around the corner.

This journey Keagan takes us through in her book, "The Struggle is Real, Purpose in The Pain." Keagan has this way of showing us how God chisels away the darkness in us. By bringing our sins to light so we can turn away from them and turn back to God. He is also renewing us and making us whole again when we are refined through the process of trials and suffering. God always changes us for the better.

Keagan beautifully writes how her own of refining and purifying process brought her closer to God in her own relationship with God. I love Keagan's honesty and how she writes about God. How personal He is to her. I hope her book inspires you and encourages you to see how personal God really is. Also, I hope you read her book to see how she shows us how to struggle well when trials come. Mostly, I hope you read her book and see how you can find triumph in God alone.

This book is a must. It is one you will want to read time and time again. Keagan Hayden shows us how to struggle well in trials when we are discouraged. She leads us back to the truth. In how we can take our toughest struggles to God. I love this book and the message of how we find triumph in Christ.” -Elizabeth Hughes
