The wisdom of God is an anchor to our souls and it weighs our hearts. Thus, we can only either walk in wisdom or we fall into walking in foolishness, but it is a choice we have to make.
Yet, by choosing wisdom and understanding we are choosing for the grace of God to redeem us of what is broken and restore what is lost.
Whereas, if we choose foolishness then we are choosing to base beliefs on wrong conclusions. Conclusions are based on reasoning and judgments with the beliefs we start out with.
If those beliefs are based on lies then we are living a lie and do not have faith.
But, if we believe the truth of God then our conclusions and judgments are based on truth which is in alignment with God's will.
"Whoever hates disguises himself with his lips and harbors deceit in his heart,"(Proverbs 26:24ESV).
"Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the LORD weighs the heart. To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice. Haughty eyes and a proud heart, the lamp of the wicked, are sin. The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance, but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty."(Proverbs 21:2-5ESV).
Jumping to the wrong conclusions only leaves us looking like fools or idiots in any situation or circumstance. Trust me we have all been there done that at one point in our lives.
See jumping to conclusions ends up being a game of trying to stay a few steps ahead of people or God which is impossible. Because we cannot be ahead of God he's always ahead of us. He has all the details and he's the one who created us.
Believing wrong conclusions can also lead to getting entangled in a snare of crooked speech and speaking slander to harm others to make yourself feel better.
There is no room to point fingers because probably everyone on earth has been guilty of this at one point or another.
The point is if we start with the truth and end with it then we are basing our conclusions on the sound biblical truth that withstands everything. It cannot be shaken or moved but rooted and grounded in God's love.
With that being said we must hold fast to the truth and remain rooted in the knowledge of God so we can grow more in tune with the Holy Spirit.
"Incline your ear, and hear the words of the wise, and apply your heart to my knowledge, for it will be pleasant if you keep them within you, if all of them are ready on your lips. That your trust may be in the LORD, I have made them known to you today, even to you."(Proverbs 22:17-19ESV).
Moreover, if we choose to be foolish and jump to conclusions with no basis to them then we are opening the door to anger, jealousy, un-forgiveness, and resentment.
Last week I was watching Steven Furtick's latest sermon on Sunday about jumping to conclusions and he was speaking about how conclusions are made and where they are based on. I highly encourage everyone to go listen to the message. He spoke beautifully about this and how wrong conclusions kills our beliefs.
Conclusions based on lies are a stumbling block that trips us up into a pit of despair.
Moreover, we need to choose our words wisely and position ourselves to receive the truth.
We must not put ourselves in a compromising position to believe lies, instead, we need to apply what God's truth has taught us by reflecting upon what is righteous and what is foolish.
Truth based conclusions start and end with God alone.
For example, I can't let what others say about or have said about me in the past stop me from following hard after God. I can't let others jumping conclusions stop me from believing the truth about how safe my reputation is white as snow in Jesus and remains pure before Him.
Rest and be satisfied by Jesus alone for He always sees the truth. No one can ruin how God sees us.
